The Indian River Inlet Bridge, officially known as the Charles W. Cullen Bridge, stands majestically in this aerial view captured directly above its south approach. Below, US Route 1 bustles with activity, as cars make their way from the charming Bethany Beach toward the lively Dewey Beach in Delaware.

This photograph was taken around lunchtime on a sun-soaked Sunday in July, showcasing the vibrant energy of the area. The bright blue water and warm sunlight create a perfect backdrop for a day by the ocean.

The parking lot is brimming with vehicles, a clear sign that this spot is a beloved destination for many. With families and friends gathered, laughter and excitement fill the air.

As midday rolls around, many weekend campers are beginning to pack up, heading back to their homes in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, and beyond. It’s a bittersweet moment as they leave behind cherished memories of sun, sand, and relaxation.
