Indian River Bridge Cam at Delaware Seashore State Park

The Delaware Department of Transportation, DelDOT, has four webcam bridge cams at the Inlet.

According to the Delaware Surf Fishing website the “Indian River Inlet has a killer New Web Cam.” Actually, there are four webcams (bridge cams? bridgecam?) at and near the Indian River Inlet Bridge with two being mounted on top of the southeast and northwest stanchions (or pylons, if you prefer).

There are four area cameras that can be accessed on your phone via the DelDOT app or on your laptop/desktop computer. A screenshot on your phone can be “enlarged’ to show some nicely detailed images. (Click the picture below of the northside beach, to see a larger image.)

The Indian River Inlet Bridge is one of the most iconic structures in Sussex County, Delaware. Spanning over the Indian River Bay between Lewes and Rehoboth Beach, this bridge is a major thoroughfare for tourists and locals alike. The Delaware Department of Transportation has installed traffic cams on both sides of the bridge to make traveling easier. A side benefit is that fishermen can also see “what’s happening” any time of day.

These four state-of-the-art web cams provide live streaming video footage from multiple angles along the bridge at all times, so drivers (and fishermen) can check out current conditions before hitting the road. The cameras also monitor real-time traffic flow and provide alerts about any potential delays or construction that may be taking place nearby. This technology allows travelers to plan their trips accordingly and avoid any unnecessary congestion or delays.

Before Sunrise at the Indian River Bridge

The best sunrise colors are often seen before the sun actually rises.

Sunrise is a beautiful and awe-inspiring time of day that can often be enjoyed in its most vibrant colors before the sun, itself, even rises. As the sky slowly transitions from night into day, it’s possible to witness some of nature’s best work through the hues of pink, orange and yellow that fill the horizon. You really should witness sunrise at the Indian River bridge for yourself.

Many people make it a point to get up early just to take in all the beauty and wonder that comes with a sunrise. These pictures taken at sunrise will show you just how much beauty can be enjoyed from this time of day. And if you have trouble getting up early, these pictures will certainly motivate you to get out of bed on the days that you don t have to! Waking up to a beautiful sunrise can be one of the most enjoyable and inspiring experiences. Sunrises are known for their vibrant, colorful displays, displaying the sky in all its glory. Many people who strive to capture the perfect sunrise photo head out at dawn in hopes of finding a stunning view. But what many people don’t know is that some of the best colors can be seen before the sun actually rises.

A quote by photographer, Pamela Aquilani: “The vibrant color this morning lasted exactly three minutes and happened twenty minutes before actual sunrise. You need to be set up and ready long before the sun breaks the horizon.”

Starry Night at the Indian River Inlet Bridge

The Charles W. Cullen Bridge as it might have been painted by Van Gogh, the Dutch artist…

Vincent Van Gogh is a Dutch post-impressionist painter whose works are renowned for their emotional impact and vibrant, expressive color palettes. Recognized as one of the most influential painters of all time, his unique style evokes a deep sense of emotion in viewers. Imagine then, if Vincent Van Gogh were to paint the Indian River Inlet Bridge in Delaware in the style of his famous Starry Night piece.

The Indian River Inlet Bridge is a picturesque sight in Sussex County, Delaware. With its majestic arches and stunning views of the bay and ocean, it’s easy to imagine how the Dutch master Vincent Van Gogh might have painted this structure if he had seen it himself. His trademark swirling brushstrokes and brilliant blues would be perfectly suited to capture the essence of this iconic bridge.

A Van Gogh-inspired painting of the Indian River Inlet Bridge would likely feature a starry night sky filled with points of light that add an air of drama to the piece. This would be an apt representation, as photographer Bill Swartwout has captured some incredible photographs of this same bridge under a blanket of stars.

It the Starry Night for you?

Yes, of course, both of the above pieces are available as prints, wall art, and on home-decor items. Either click on one of the Indian River Bridge images above or one of the links below.
